“PTD Downhill”

New this year is class expansion for the Cat II riders. Senior will now be 19-29, Master will be 30-39, and Master II will be 40+. No more griping about the young bucks with no mortgage or kids and nothing to loose. Race with the other home dad’s or still test your luck in the Cat IICash or  Cat II Senior classes.

Start Time: 10am

Location: Lake Leatherwood Sports Fields

Registration: 8am

*NOTICE TO OMNI COMPETITORS:  YOU MUST REGISTER AT THE SHORT TRACK REGISTRATION TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE “OMNI CHALLENGE”.

Directions: From Eureka Springs follow 62 west for approximately 2 miles to the entrance to Lake Leatherwood City Park, on the right. Pull into the Sports Complex entrance for parking, shuttles and staging for event.

DH Classes, Categories, Fees:

Cat I (All ages)                     $35

Cat II Cash (All ages)        $30

Cat II Senior (19-29)         $25

Cat II Master (30-39)       $25

Cat II Master II (40+)      $25

Limited Travel                     $25    (5 inches or less travel front or rear)

Women (All ages)               $25

Junior (18 & Under)          $20

-No Cat III for DH, but they may race Cat II without amending license

DH Prizes & Awards:
  • Cat I – $100/$75/$50
  • Top 3 guaranteed vs. 100% payback (Top third of field receives payout up to 5th)
  • Cat 2 Cash 80% payback (Top third of field receives payout up to 5th)
  • Cat 2, Limited Travel, Junior and Women classes and categories receive prizes.
  • Women and Juniors may Cat up and compete with the male classes.
Downhill Shuttles:
  • There will be shuttles running the whole time of the competition.
  • Racers are ultimately responsible for their own timeliness to registration and to the start line. We will do our best, but in last-minute situations YOU are ultimately responsible.
  • THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE TOP OF THE COURSE AT THE DH LODGE. ALL PARKING MUST TAKE PLACE AT THE LEATHERWOOD SPORTS FIELDS LOCATION.

Downhill Practice & Workdays (Race Free?):
  • The PTD crew will be enhancing the course even more this year!  Come build with us.
  • Work Days: June 18th & 19th.  July 9th & 10th
  • DH Practice Sessions/Work Weekend: July 9th & 10th
  • Official DH Race Practice: Friday, July 15th.
  • RACE FREE IF YOU VOLUNTEER OVER 8HRS.

DH Course Description:

The PTD DH course is now held on the Downhilll Challenge Trail, a one-way dedicated line for downhill riders. Riders may now shred at full speed anytime of the year on the dedicated line. TTF’s are marked and all have option lines around. However remember; THERE ARE OTHER USERS OUT THERE BESIDES YOU AND THERE ARE SEVERAL TRAIL CROSSINGS ON THIS TRAIL. RIDE RESPECTFULLY.

All competitors are required to hold a valid NORBA license (annual or one day) and have it and their driver’s license or legal ID available at registration. One-day licenses for Cat 2 & 3 competitors ($5) as well as annual licenses and renewals will be available at all registration sites.
